Transitioning success: Engaging event and sustainable print

The brief in brief)
We were tasked with transitioning a live roadshow of events into a virtual internal communications event for 1,100 employees across 6 regions. As the event was usually in-person (moved virtual due to COVID-19) the client wanted to ensure that even though the event was virtual, it was still engaging for its audience.

Our approach.
To effectively engage employees, we devised a strategy to complement the virtual events with employee engagement packs. The roadshow was divided into 6 events held over 3 days, each spanning 3 hours. Each event featured 4 pre-recorded presentations from the senior leadership team, followed by live Q&A segments facilitated by our team.
The engagement packs were meticulously designed and fulfilled in-house to maintain consistency with SUEZ’s sustainability and environmental values. This ensured a cohesive design and enhanced the overall attendee experience.
The importantstuff.
The virtual events exceeded expectations, with a notable 20% increase in attendance compared to previous live events. Attendees responded positively to the engagement packs, which were distributed to registered conference participants in advance. Awards packs and trophies were promptly mailed out using next-day delivery services, ensuring timely arrival to the deserving winners by 12pm the following day.
Furthermore, all content from the virtual events is now available on demand, allowing employees to revisit and utilize the materials for training purposes, particularly beneficial for new starters. Overall, the successful execution of the virtual events and the positive reception of the engagement packs underscored the effectiveness of Resource’s approach in adapting to virtual communication needs while maintaining alignment with SUEZ’s values.

“We couldn’t meet in person, but we networked, chatted, laughed, brainstormed and recognised our people with award ceremonies and shared our plans for driving forward a green recovery. Thank you, Resource.”
