Progress Housing was keen to make their tenants aware of the implications of Universal Credit. Those affected would be required to open a bank account, get online, budget their outgoings and arrange for their rent payments to be paid as a priority – ideally by direct debit. Quite an ask…
240% increase in customer response
Through managing the data, we created a pilot campaign using targeted, personalised direct mail, email and SMS. The ‘call to action’ included going online to a dedicated web page for more info, or calling the benefits team. On the day the campaign landed there was a 240% increase in customer response and an influx of calls, allowing the benefits team to manage each case on its own merit.
Based on the huge success of the pilot we are now in planning to roll out the campaign to a wider base of tenants.
