Through a fresh new identity and meticulously managed event delivery, we helped commsHERO create its most vibrant and impactful celebration to date.
The brief (in brief).
Since 2014, commsHERO has brought together communications and marketing professionals for an annual event that celebrates the sector and champions inclusive knowledge-sharing. For the 2025 event, we tasked our team to elevate the experience, brand and delivering a fully managed end-to-end event that felt modern, engaging and unmistakably commsHERO.
Our approach.
We refreshed and repositioned the commsHERO brand to create a playful yet grown-up identity more closely aligned with Resource, setting the foundation for the full event experience. Our teams managed every stage of delivery, from creative development, planning and production through to on-the-day execution.
This included social and email communications, speaker curation and briefing, delegate registration, and full venue, AV and catering management. Accessibility was prioritised from sign-up onwards, ensuring every attendee’s needs were catered for, including dietary requirements and the provision of a quiet room.
A major part of the project was delivering the commsHERO Awards: creating categories and criteria, managing submissions, coordinating judging, scoring, winner selection and announcing the shortlist. We produced the full awards ceremony and filmed winner interviews to extend engagement beyond the event.
To bring the refreshed brand to life, we designed and produced all event collateral from large-format branding, presentation templates and personalised delegate packs featuring notepads, sticker sheets, a z-fold leaflet and pen. Premium printed awards brochures with matte lamination and spot UV added a polished, memorable finish.
Through strategic planning and cohesive creative, we delivered an energising, seamless event that strengthened the community and set a new benchmark for commsHERO.

The event was met with overwhelmingly positive feedback — the atmosphere, energy and engagement throughout the day were standout highlights for delegates. This enthusiasm was mirrored online through exceptional social media performance.
