Objective

The Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT) aimed to refine their existing brand identity and collateral to ensure consistency and accessibility. With no established brand guidelines in place, they sought to create a more cohesive and user-friendly framework.

How Did Resource Help?

We began by evaluating the existing brand identity to identify areas for improvement. This involved reviewing elements such as the logo, colour palette, and fonts to ensure alignment and consistency.

Following the review, we worked on creating functional yet creative brand guidelines. Our focus was on establishing clear rules and standards for the use of brand elements across various platforms and materials.

Accessibility was a crucial consideration throughout the process. We tested all colours and fonts against the AA standard to ensure compliance with the highest contrast ratio standards, thereby enhancing accessibility for all users.

The refined brand identity, colour palette, and fonts were incorporated into the newly created brand guidelines. These guidelines provided a user-friendly framework for creating brand assets and communications materials that upheld the RCSLT’s identity while ensuring accessibility for all.

What Did Success Look Like?

Our collaboration with RCSLT resulted in the development of a more aligned and accessible brand identity, supported by comprehensive brand guidelines. By prioritising consistency, accessibility, and user-friendliness, RCSLT was able to strengthen its brand presence and effectively communicate its mission to a wider audience.

“We were delighted by the creation of the brand guidelines, they look fantastic, thank you.”
