Objective

Broadacres Housing Association felt their customer magazine Viewpoint needed a fresh, simple, and contemporary style refresh. They wanted to bring an editorial, and lifestyle feel to the magazine with reduced copy, more images and a create a bigger design impact whilst sharing key articles with the reader. They also wanted to ensure that the publication was made in the most sustainable way possible.

How Did Resource Help?

We presented three concepts aligning with Broadacres’ priorities. They opted to handle copywriting to maintain style within the specified count.

Utilising our Virtual Studio, Broadacres provided real-time feedback, saving 10 working days and 20% of the budget, aiding in completing the project ahead of schedule.

To make an immediate impact while remaining environmentally conscious, we, as a Carbon Balanced Printer, designed, printed, and mailed the magazine for Broadacres. This contributed to protecting 22m2 of tropical forest and offsetting 116kg of carbon through the World Land Trust.

Magazines were mailed in Carbon Neutral, plant-based 100% recyclable Polyair wrap, with a large print version available for accessibility.

What Did Success Look Like?

We made sure Broadacres got their magazine redesigned to brief, printed, and mailed sustainably. We also managed to reduce project time by 10 days and make a 20% saving on their budget.

“We continue to enjoy a great working relationship with the Resource team. The recent brand refresh work was excellent, and we received very positive feedback from our customer panel. They have introduced new initiatives such as ensuring our print and mailing is 100% recyclable and saving our comms team lots of time and effort as we can design, print, and mail the magazine with one provider.”
