We have been hosting in-person and virtual events for the CommsHero community for over 8 years, in October 2022 we managed the biggest virtual event for the community.


Bringing the events, digital, creative and production team together, the event rolled across website design, video, social media, a week-long virtual conference and personalised swag packs mailed to delegates and speaker’s homes.

One of the features, which was new to this year’s event, was the CommsHero leaderboard. Attendees gained points by engaging with the features on the virtual platform, thus creating a drive for the audience to engage with each other using online networking and engage within the sessions by asking questions, sending messages, and answering polls.


Engagement did not stop there. Social media engagement in the community increased massively during the run up to the event and over the course of the week. By the end of the event we had reached 3.4 million twitter users and received over 1.9 thousand interactions.
